Ask questions. Explore the unexpected. Look for connections. Find solutions.
These fundamental principles, honed over two decades of practice, are the foundation of my process. Whether it’s a simple social media graphic or a multi-channel campaign, this is how I start. Below is a sample of some of my work. Take a look, let’s talk.

The new brand activation campaign for the American Institute of Physics is the culmination of a two-year project to reimagine the AIP and AIP Publishing’s identity.
CASE STUDIES
TEAM-UP Together is a collective action initiative to create a culture of inclusion, support, and success for Black students in physics and astronomy. Central to that is a bold goal: to double the number of African Americans earning bachelor’s degrees in physics and astronomy by 2030.
The organization needed a web presence that would grow with them as they added more programs, scholarships, and resources.
AIP has been a leading voice in the physics community for over 90 years, with a mission to advance, promote, and serve the physical sciences for the benefit of humanity. In preparation for a period of transformation, they reorganized to create an in-house marketing and communication department built on an agency model. Recognizing that they were missing crucial agency experience, I was brought in for my expertise and guidance.
The Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation engages a global network of top-tier law firms to bring pro bono legal services to social entrepreneurs. In conjunction with its 15th anniversary, this small foundation with a modest budget wanted to update its marketing and online presence. The scope of the project included a 15-year logo lockup, an anniversary video, and a website redesign. In addition to refreshing the presentation layer of the website, they needed a modernized content management system. To deliver on time and within budget we needed to work efficiently, minimizing wasted time and resources.
French Paper Co., one of the oldest paper mills in America, needed to stand out in a truly crowded field. One of its primary audiences being graphic designers, the demand for a high volume of high-concept marketing was almost more than one agency could keep up with. Almost.
Aaron is an award winning creative with more than 20 years of experience. His clients include non-profits, social entrepreneurs, associations, manufacturing organizations, and consumer brands. He has lead successful campaigns for the American Institute of Physics, Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation, Gillette, Hasbro, AARP, National Association of Broadcasters, Unisys, Westinghouse, the French Paper Co., and many more.
He began his career as a traditional printmaker and illustrator. After studying at Cranbrook Academy of Art, he returned to his native Minneapolis where he started a letterpress print shop and began exploring the intersection of digital and mechanical production of repeatable images. This ultimately led him to Charles Anderson Design Co. where he worked on the CSA Archive, Plastock, and Snapstock collections as well as numerous illustration and design projects. There, he discovered the connection between traditional print design, user experience design, and web development. This discovery continues to drive his work, interests, and leadership style to this day.
Aaron is dedicated to seeking out new technologies and means of communication, giving him a broad range of experience to draw from while developing marketing strategies, cross-platform campaigns, and content.
